For New Zealand Book Month we are planning a guide to Literary Christchurch, with a focus on books that have a Christchurch setting – i.e. Rocking Horse Road by Carl Nixon.
If you can think of any good examples, please contact Donna Robertson, Online Services, phone 5967 donna.robertson@ccc.govt.nz OR add them here in the comments field.
Thanks

Margaret Mahy books might be a good start. I seem to recall recognising several locations in “The Changeover” (estuary, port hills etc.)

What about :
“Old Bones” by Bill Nagelkerke
“The Cleaner” by Paul Cleave
“Sanctuary” by Kate de Goldi
“Oracles & Miracles” by Stevan Eldred-Grigg
And I agree that Margaret Mahy’s novels would be a good place to start – ‘24 Hours’ as well as ‘The Changeover’.
